We're Ready!

We are ready for induction tomorrow morning at 6AM. We have everything packed and ready to go. Of course, it wouldn't be fun unless there was a snafu. We think our A/C might have stopped working today. We are waiting on a call from the company. Keep that in your prayers.

We finally took pictures of the updated nursery. It is definitely ready for Avery to be in it.

Induction

Great news...I went to the doctor today and was still 1cm dilated but I have progressed to 80% effaced. The doctor actually asked me what I wanted to do. So we have scheduled an induction for Friday, May 1st at 6AM. We are so excited to have a drop date if she doesn't decide to arrive before. Dr. actually said he would be surprised if I made it to Friday. We are so excited!!! We will keep you all posted and hope to have some pictures of our baby girl, Avery in a few days. Please pray for a healthy, safe delivery and baby.

38 weeks tomorrow

Well, I was so sure I was in labor on Saturday night until Sunday at 5:30AM. I guess Avery is moving in the womb and getting ready to come out, but it could be two more weeks. I was so worried because my doctor was going to ride the MS150, the bike ride from Houston to Austin. I didn't go almost 10 months seeing him to not have him deliver her. Turns out it was probably just Braxton Hicks and normal pressure. So, I guess I will see what the doctor says tomorrow.

My work had a shower for me on Friday, which was so wonderful. I had to show you pictures of the cake, and I even decided to throw one in there of me. I should stand to the side so you can see the big belly.

Snow in July

Well....something we never thought we would see with our first two babies....

Prisca, our cat, just does not care for Hagen very much. This was unbelievable. We love our two animals. We hope they do good with our little girl!

Practice makes Perfect

Saturday night we had the chance to babysit my nephew, Carson. He is 13 months and so much fun. We played and played and finally took a bath. I only have girlie things so I had to take a pic of him in the pink towel. He loves to splash...she how wet I got.


Four weeks until Avery arrives. I refuse to count past 39 weeks. Every little bit of practice helps!!

Nursery Pics

The nursery is almost finished. We wanted to post a few pictures of our progress. We still need to find cute things for the walls, but besides that, we really love it so far. All we need is Avery!

34 weeks update

Well, not much going on at our house. We are so thankful that Josh has a job. We are praying for something permanent here in Houston so he can spend lots of time with the baby. If you haven't heard our name choice yet.....Avery Blake will hopefully be arriving no later than May 5th. Avery because we both loved the name, and Blake is my mom's maiden name and Avery is due on her birthday.

The doctor said the baby looks great. I have to get on the fetal monitor every time I go to the doctor now for weekly visits. Some days I wish she would come a little early, but I have to remember that it is better the longer she stays in her cozy home.
